L’Ecole de Battersea joins the Globeducate family
We are thrilled to announce that our schools, founded by Mr & Mrs Otten in 1977 and 2005, will now be joining the prestigious Globeducate group. This significant milestone marks the beginning of an exciting new chapter in our educational journey.
A Legacy of Excellence
Since their founding, our schools have been guided by the vision and dedication of Mr & Mrs Otten. The first school, established in 1977, set the foundation for excellence in bilingual education, fostering a nurturing and stimulating environment where pupils could thrive. Building on this success, a second school was established in 2005, further expanding our community and continuing the legacy of providing high-quality bilingual education.
Over the years, both schools have grown into vibrant learning communities, known for their commitment to academic excellence, character development, a focus on pastoral care, and the children’s happiness and desire to learn.
Joining the Globeducate Group
As we look to the future, we are excited to announce that our schools will now be part of the Globeducate group, one of the world’s leading K-12 education providers. This partnership opens up new opportunities for our pupils, staff, and families, as we join a global network of over 60 schools across 11 countries.
Globeducate shares our values of fostering global citizens who are equipped to shape the world of tomorrow. Their emphasis on sustainability, innovation, and multicultural understanding aligns perfectly with our educational philosophy.
What This Means for Our Community
For our pupils, this partnership means access to a wider range of educational programmes, international projects, and cultural exchanges. They will have the opportunity to connect with peers from around the world, broadening their horizons and gaining a truly global perspective.
For our families, this partnership reaffirms our commitment to delivering a world-class education while remaining true to the values and traditions that have defined our schools since their founding.
For our staff, being part of the Globeducate group provides access to professional development opportunities, collaborative networks, and the chance to contribute to a global educational movement.
By joining Globeducate, our schools will benefit from enhanced resources, global learning opportunities, and a broader platform for collaboration and exchange. However, our bilingual curriculum and unique learning approach will not be changed, and we will remain in the AEFE network.
Looking Ahead
As we embark on this new journey with Globeducate, we remain committed to maintaining the high standards of education that our schools are known for. We will continue to honour the legacy of Mr & Mrs Otten, while embracing the exciting opportunities that lie ahead as part of a global education network.
We would like to extend our heartfelt gratitude to our entire school community for their ongoing support and trust. We look forward to this next chapter with great enthusiasm and are excited about the many possibilities that being part of Globeducate will bring.
Thank you for being part of our journey. Together, we will continue to inspire and educate the leaders of tomorrow.
“We are delighted that our two schools have joined Globeducate, which will secure a future for our pupils and teachers that is truly international. L´Ecole des Petits and L’Ecole de Battersea will work closely with the group´s bilingual schools in Paris, and the group´s AEFE schools in Morocco and the Netherlands, opening new connections and professional opportunities for our specialist teachers in French bilingual education. Our vision of offering a truly global education will be enhanced by the opportunities Globeducate offers such as global events, and partnerships and collaborations with WWF-UK, Eco-Schools and LEGO ÍÑ¿ã°É. The next chapter of our schools´ story is set to be a new learning opportunity for everyone.”
Mr & Mrs Otten, Founders of L'Ecole des Petits & L'Ecole de Battersea
“The commitment to fostering a love for learning and cultural awareness is evident in the school’s community and its dedication to bilingual proficiency, preparing pupils for a globalised world. These values fit very well with our wider Globeducate family of schools, and we look forward to welcoming staff from both schools to Globeducate. Like all Globeducate schools, L’Ecole des Petits and L’Ecole de Battersea pride themselves on their inclusive community and experienced educators who are passionate about education – in particular, in this case, early childhood education. Within Globeducate UK, the team at L´Ecole des Petits and L’Ecole de Battersea will have opportunities to connect with Stonar School, Boundary Oak School, and ICS London – all of which have successful pre-schools and primary schools.”
