Pupils Raise Over £1,000 in 24-Hour Charity Bike Ride for Sepsis Trust
Pupils from Morrison House at Giggleswick School have completed an incredible 24-
hour charity mountain bike challenge, raising over £1,000 in support of the UK
Sepsis Trust.
The event, entirely organised and led by the pupils, took place on the school’s on-site mountain bike track and saw students cycling continuously in shifts from noon to noon demonstrating exceptional teamwork, determination, and commitment to a cause close to their hearts.
The initiative not only showcased the pupils’ physical endurance but also their compassion and sense of community leadership. From planning the logistics and publicity to riding through the night, the Morrison House team showed what can be achieved when young people take action for a purpose.
Housemaster, Mr James Giles said;
'Fundraising has been a central part of Morrison House. The boys have raised over £8000 in the last 5 years, for a variety of great causes. This year's 24-hour challenge has been another fantastic, shared endeavour, which helps bind us together as a community. I could not be prouder of the boys and their achievement. Donating this money to the UK Sepsis Trust means an awful lot to me'.
The money raised will help support the Sepsis Trust’s vital work in raising awareness, funding research, and providing support for those affected by sepsis.
