Exceptional Sporting Success for Vijh Twins

Bromsgrove School is delighted to celebrate the outstanding sporting achievements of Year 7 twins, Hari and Jai Vijh, whose exceptional performances this season have set new standards both within the School and on the national stage.

At the National Prep Schools Athletics Finals, Hari made history by becoming the first Bromsgrove pupil ever to win a maximum three gold medals at the event. He claimed top honours in the High Jump, Long Jump and the 4x100m relay – with two of those performances setting new national records. Hari’s High Jump result sees him ranked equal 1st in the UK for his age group.

Jai was equally impressive. He secured gold in the 75m Hurdles, breaking the national record in the process, and joined Hari in the victorious 4x100m relay team. He also won silver in the Long Jump – a thrilling contest in which he was narrowly edged out by his brother. Jai is currently ranked 2nd in the UK for 75m Hurdles on the Power of 10 rankings, and also holds the fastest wind-assisted time nationally.

In addition to their remarkable athletics achievements, both boys have recently signed two-year contracts with Category One Academy Stoke City FC, further demonstrating their exceptional all-round sporting ability.

Bromsgrove School is immensely proud of Hari and Jai, two remarkable young sportsmen who continue to inspire with their dedication, talent, and exemplary sporting spirit.
