This year’s leavers have secured places at a broad range of universities to study in a variety of fields including Biology at Oxford, Geography at Cambridge, Veterinary Science at Liverpool, International Management at Bath and Biomedical Science at Bath, Philosophy at UCL, History of Art at Edinburgh, Criminology at Bristol and Geography with Innovation at Bristol, Art Direction and Visual Effects at the University of the Arts London, Video Games Design at Escape Studios and Music at Royal Holloway.
This year also marks the final chapter of Mrs Liz Hewer’s leadership of St George’s before she takes up the position of High Mistress at St Paul’s Girls’ School, London for the new academic year. From September, Miss Hannah Fox, currently Academic and Universities Director on the Senior Leadership Team at Harrow School, will join as Head of St George’s, bringing a wealth of experience and a strong vision for the school’s next chapter.
Liz Hewer, Head, commented:
'I am very proud of this accomplished, compassionate, diverse and impressive group of Upper Sixth leavers who have continued to give so much to all aspects of life at St George's alongside their A Level studies. They should feel very proud of their achievements and the well-balanced young women they have become. I wish them every success and look forward to following their journeys through university and beyond. As I too take my leave of St George’s after 9 years as Head of such a wonderful school, I wish Miss Fox all the very best and have every confidence the School will continue to thrive under her leadership.'
