Top Grades Shape A Level Success at Bancroft’s

At 8am, with browsers refreshed and results released, the wait ended for Bancroft’s Class of 2025. The figures reflect a year of sustained effort and academic ambition.

This summer, 39% of grades were awarded A*, with one in five students achieving three or more A*s. Ten pupils have secured places at Oxford and Cambridge, while eight will begin Medicine courses. Leavers are heading to leading universities including Imperial College London, the London School of Economics, the University of Bristol, the University of St Andrews and the University of Edinburgh, to study subjects ranging from Engineering, Law and Economics to Fine Art, History and Veterinary Medicine.

Across the year group, 71% of all grades were A*-A, and 92% were A*-B – a performance that underlines the breadth of achievement within the cohort.

Alex Frazer, Head of Bancroft’s, said:

'It’s a wonderful day for our 2025 Leavers and I am extremely proud of them. They have achieved so highly whilst also embracing the wide array of co-curricular activities that we offer. They are true Bancroftians and I wish them all every happiness and success in their next adventures.'

Head of Sixth Form, Phil Harrison, added:

'It has been a privilege to support such a talented and aspirational group of young people, whose joy, good humour and positivity have enriched our school community. They now step confidently into the next stage of their journey, ready to make meaningful contributions to universities, industries and communities across the country.'
