RGS Surrey Hills Sixth Form celebrates IB success, individuality, and global ambition

Students at RGS Surrey Hills are celebrating their International Baccalaureate (IB) and A Level results as they reach the end of their Sixth Form journey

Exceptional achievements have led to an inspiring variety of university places, specialist courses, and career opportunities.

This year, IB students achieved significantly higher than the global average; a performance that reflects both the strength of the programme and the dedication of students and staff. The IB’s broad curriculum, emphasis on independent learning, and global perspective equip graduates with skills that are highly valued by leading universities and employers worldwide.

Leavers from the IB Class of 2025 are heading to prestigious Russell Group universities such as Durham (Law) and King’s College London (Social Sciences and Engineering), alongside specialist courses in Cyber Security, Motorsport Engineering, and Computer Games Animation in Germany. Several students are also pursuing creative and performing arts pathways, including an Acting Foundation course.

With A Level successes spanning the UK and beyond — including Biomedical Sciences at Bristol, Business and Economics at Surrey, Philosophy at Southampton, and accountancy routes both at home and overseas — the Class of 2025 leaves RGS Surrey Hills ready to make their mark on the world.

Headmistress Hayley Robinson said:

'We are immensely proud of this year’s cohort. The IB results speak for themselves, but beyond the grades, each student leaves with the confidence, adaptability, and global outlook to thrive in whatever path they choose. In our small, close-knit Sixth Form, we have been able to support each individual to find their own way forward, and to prepare them for life beyond school.'

This summer marks the beginning of an exciting new chapter for RGS Surrey Hills as part of the Reigate Grammar School family of schools. Pupils will benefit from shared expertise, enhanced facilities, and an expanded range of opportunities ensuring that all future cohorts can flourish in their supportive and ambitious environments. The diversity of destinations reflects the school’s commitment to personalised learning and supporting students to follow their passions. Whether aiming for a Russell Group university, an international opportunity, or a specialist career path, every RGS Surrey Hills leaver has been encouraged to shape a future that matches their strengths, ambitions, and interests.
