St George’s Ascot celebrates outstanding GCSE success

Year 11 pupils at St George’s Ascot are celebrating an exceptional set of GCSE results today, with this year’s grades marking one of the School’s strongest performances to date, and once again demonstrating impressive value added.

43% of all GCSEs were awarded at Grade 8 and 9 (the equivalent of an A*), placing this year’s cohort as the highest-achieving Georgians in recent history.

This success is particularly inspirational as these girls were the first year group to begin their secondary education during the disruption of the COVID pandemic. With excellent teaching, tailored support and the encouragement of the whole school community and their families, they have overcome those early challenges to achieve outstanding results that reflect both their hard work and their resilience.

Miss Hannah Fox, the new Head of St George’s Ascot from September 2025, commented, 'I could not be prouder of the girls. These results are a wonderful reflection of their determination, hard work and the outstanding support of their teachers. They also represent the encouragement, curiosity and joy that run through our community. Every girl at St George’s is known, supported and encouraged to aim high. These results are a powerful testament to that approach. I am so excited to see them take their next steps into Sixth Form, where they will continue to flourish, embrace new opportunities and grow in confidence. We are celebrating each and every one of them today.'
