Badminton School Celebrates Exceptional GCSE Results

Badminton School announced an exceptional set of GCSE results, with 20% of their Year 11 pupils achieving straight 9-8 grades.

An impressive 58% of all grades awarded were at grade 8 or 9, and 75% were graded 9-7, marking the school’s strongest performance in recent years.

Year 11 pupil, Florence, who achieved straight 9s, was one of the group that received their results this morning. She said: 'I’m so thrilled with my results and I’m incredibly proud of all of my year. I hope this is a testament to the fact that taking every opportunity and still finding time for things you love can really pay off!'

Lucy Culverwell, Head of Year 11 at Badminton, said: 'These outstanding results reflect the hard work, resilience and commitment of a truly remarkable year group. Throughout the exam season, students approached their studies with characteristic calm and focus, while continuing to engage in a broad range of co-curricular pursuits. Whether performing ballet, playing in the school orchestra, or volunteering at local stables, this cohort has consistently demonstrated a commendable balance between academic excellence and personal enrichment. A defining characteristic of the Class of 2025 has been their strong sense of collaboration and mutual support - qualities that have contributed significantly to their success'.

Jessica Miles, Head, added: 'This year’s GCSE results are a true reflection of the dedication, curiosity, and spirit shown by our Year 11 pupils. I am incredibly proud of how they have embraced both academic and co-curricular life with such enthusiasm and maturity. Whether excelling in the classroom, performing on stage, or contributing to the wider community, they have set a wonderful example of what it means to be a Badminton pupil. I know the whole school community will join me in congratulating them, and in thanking the staff who have guided and supported them throughout their journey so far.'

The vast majority of pupils will now continue their academic journey at Badminton School Sixth Form, pursuing a wide range of A Level subjects including music, languages, sciences, and photography. The school is excited to support them as they embark on this next chapter, and confident that they will continue to thrive both academically and personally.
