Sibling Stars Shine

It was lovely to see Cambridge scholar Massimo pop into Satis House to support his sister, Azzurra, as she collected her 12 Grade 9 GCSEs.

The previous week, Massimo had accepted a place at Cambridge to read Languages after achieving A* in French, A* in Spanish, and an A in English.

We were delighted to hear that Massimo has been offered a choral award for Selwyn College, Cambridge, which means he will participate in three Evensongs a week in the choir, receive a small salary and music lessons and have all his meals provided while at Cambridge. Massimo was unable to collect his results in person last week as he was attending the Rudolfus Foundation Choral Course in York—a choral event with the Director of Selwyn College—which Massimo found to be a fantastic experience in preparation for life at Cambridge.

Massimo has been at King’s since Year 9 and said the School’s cathedral services were his personal highlight, describing them as “always lovely.” He also joined the choir in Year 12, enjoying singing in such a beautiful setting with a talented group.
