Reddam House Berkshire Celebrates Outstanding Academic Achievements
Reddam House Berkshire proudly announces exceptional exam results across both A Levels and GCSEs, reaffirming its position as one of the leading academic institutions in the region.
In the recent A Level examinations, 21% of grades were awarded at A*, with 53% at A–A*, 78% at A–B, and an impressive 94% at A–C. These results significantly surpass national averages, where only 9.4% of grades were at A*, and 28.2% achieved A*–A. This achievement positions Reddam House as one of the highest-achieving schools locally, with A* grades more than doubling the national figure and demonstrating an academic standard that rivals many of the UK’s top independent schools.
A principal highlight of these results is that 95% of students secured places at their first-choice universities, including numerous offers from prestigious Russell Group institutions. Rick Cross, Principal of Reddam House Berkshire, commented, '

Moreover, GCSE students achieved remarkable outcomes. Notably, 18% of all grades were awarded at level 9, well above the national average of 5%. Additionally, 36% of grades were at levels 9–8, and 56% at levels 9–7, equivalent to the former A*–A range. Nationally, only 22% of grades reach this level, underscoring the exceptional performance of Reddam House students.
These results confirm the school’s standing as one of the top-performing schools in the region and reflect a robust academic culture nurtured across all year groups. These impressive achievements are the result of sustained effort, high expectations, and a shared commitment to excellence. The school’s ongoing evolution of its academic approach, including research-informed strategies such as spaced retrieval practice and cycle testing supported by the Global Study Platform and Canvas, has played a key role in driving student success.
