Smaller Schools, Big Results – First GCSEs Under the New LPS Mayfair Name

Students and staff at LPS Mayfair are celebrating today following the release of the school’s first GCSE results under its new name – continuing the strong academic tradition of Eaton Square Senior while welcoming a new, diverse cohort.

This year’s results saw 40% grades 9–7 and 94 % grades 9–4, both significantly higher than the 2025 national averages of 21.8% (9–7) and 67.1 % (9–4).


Subject Strengths

• Further Maths: 82% grades 7–9
• Sciences: Biology, Chemistry, and Physics – 76% grades 7–9 each
• Languages: 100% 7–9 in Italian and Portuguese; 67% Arabic; 50% French and German
• English: 83% 5+ in English Language; over 50% 7+ in Literature
• Maths: 64% 5+ achieved
• Geography: 50% 7–9 (up from 25% in 2024)

Student Stories

• Pierce – avg 8.7, excelling in Maths & Science. One of several students who joined from Portland Place School after its closure, Pierce adapted brilliantly to Mayfair and is now progressing to LPS Sixth
• Beckett – avg 8.7, strong across all subjects – joining LPS Sixth
• Mikayil – avg 8.4, Physics & Maths standout – heading to Alleyn’s.
• Yasmin – avg 8.2, excelling in English, Languages & Sciences – moving to Ashbourne.
• Alexander – avg 8.1, strong in Maths, Sciences & Humanities – joining City of London.

As a cohort, the ex-PPS students showed remarkable resilience and adaptability, embracing change, building new friendships, and achieving excellent results despite disruption
