King’s Shortlisted for Innovation in ÍÑ¿ã°É Award

We are thrilled that King’s has been shortlisted for a Talk ÍÑ¿ã°É Innovation in ÍÑ¿ã°É Award!

King’s is in the final six for the Thinking Beyond the Curriculum category – a recognition of how schools inspire pupils to go further than the core syllabus, encouraging them to explore their interests and challenge themselves to take their interest in a subject further.

The winner will be announced next week, and we are keeping everything crossed for a fantastic result!

Charlie and Strings for Youth Open Bach Festival

Charlie (L5 Crick) had the incredible honour of opening a Bach festival in the City of London as part of the elite chamber ensemble Strings for Youth, directed by Tim Wells during the summer. The programme featured works by Bach, Handel, and Purcell and was performed in the National Musicians’ Church – Holy Sepulchre, High Holborn, alongside the memorial to Sir Henry Wood, founder of the BBC Proms.

It was a powerful and moving performance, earning Strings for Youth a return invitation and showcasing the talent and dedication of these young string players. Hear the performance here:https://www.facebook.com/share/v/1C56WgRagx/

Saha’s Summer of Tennis Triumphs

Huge congratulations to Saha for an outstanding summer of tennis! At the Sri Lankan National Clay Court 2025 Championship Saha and his doubles partner, Methvan, won the U18 Doubles Championship in a truly thrilling match. Saha also reached the quarter finals in the U18 boys singles  and in the U16 boys singles came runner up.

Saha also played in the boy’s U16 final after straight-set wins at the 111th National Tennis Championship organised by Sri Lanka Tennis Association courts in Colombo. After a hard fight it was one set all but in the third set, though Saha lost in the much-anticipated final.
