Bryanston Pupil Selected for Scotland U16 National Football Team Training Camp
Bryanston Year 11 pupil Rafferty V, aged 14, from Poole in Dorset, has taken a major step forward in his footballing journey after being selected for the Scotland U16 National Team Training Camp.
Rafferty, who is currently signed to AFC Bournemouth’s Academy, received the call-up towards the end of the summer holidays. Despite only being an U15 player, his inclusion in the U16 squad highlights both his talent and potential.
The Scotland U16s have several upcoming international fixtures, and Rafferty will now wait to see if he secures a place in the matchday squad. Regardless of selection, his involvement at this stage is already a remarkable achievement.
Rafferty joined Bryanston as a sports scholar on the school’s High Performance Sports Programme which offers promising young sports talent world-class tailored support to help them achieve successful sporting careers.
Mark Foster, Bryanston’s Head of Football, commented:
'We are extremely proud of Raff’s progress. To be recognised at international level while still an U15 is a fantastic achievement and a reflection of his hard work, ability and commitment. We look forward to supporting him on his exciting football journey.'
