AHS' nursery Little Crickets Sunderland is open to babies from 6 months old
Argyle House School's Little Crickets Nursery achieves successful Ofsted accreditation enabling it to extend its provision to welcome babies from 6 months old with immediate effect
Little Crickets Nursery demonstrated its commitment to high quality care and education by voluntarily applying to undergo the accreditation process enabling it to extend its offering from pre-schoolers to children from 6 months of age. The Ofsted assessment took place last week and involved a rigorous assessment of policies, procedure and practice.
This successful accreditation comes hot on the heels of Argyle House School celebrating its glowing Independent School Inspectorate (ISI) report in which the Early Years provision was singled out for particular commendation, with inspectors stating: “Leaders in the Early Years provide an interesting and stimulating curriculum. Children are encouraged to learn, play and form positive relationships. They develop respect, kindness and confidence.”
Mrs Donna Blackmore who joined Argyle House School last summer to manage its Little Crickets Nursery has overseen a refresh including a modernising transformation of the nursery’s facilities. Mrs Blackmore commented:
'It was hugely appealing for me to join the Argyle House School family as Nursery Manager and to work with an experienced team in the Little Crickets Nursery. We are pleased to have adapted and extended the provision to be open all year round and to babies from 6 months old. I am thrilled, not only with the ISI findings but also with this successful Ofsted accreditation.'
Head of Argyle House School John Sample expressed his delight in the positive outcome of the accreditation process saying,'
This accreditation outcome is a testament to the dedication of our staff. Our nursery provides the same hallmark of excellence as Argyle House School where every child is valued and supported to thrive.'
