Chigwell School Choir Shines in Live ITV Performance on This Morning
Chigwell School celebrated a proud moment in December as Prep School pupils delivered a standout festive performance live on ITV’s This Morning, marking a joyful highlight in the final week of term.
The school choir took to the national stage and set a wonderfully festive tone with their impressive rendition of Little Town of Bethlehem and Hark the Herald Angels Sing, earning warm praise from viewers and presenters alike. Their professionalism, energy, and musical talent showcased the very best of Chigwell’s pupils.
Adding to the excitement was a heart-warming surprise for host and former Chigwellian,
Ben Shephard. The school arranged for one of his former teachers, Mr
Kevin Farrant, to join the choir on set. The touching reunion brought smiles all round, creating a memorable moment for both Ben and the Chigwell community watching from home.
The school shared its pride following the broadcast, praising pupils across all year groups for their achievements and the way they represented Chigwellon national television.
'We couldn’t be prouder of them,' said Mr King, Head of Chigwell School.
'It was wonderful to see our pupils shine and to share such a special moment with a former pupil who continues to embody the values of our community.'
The appearance marked a memorable festive and uplifting end to the school term - one the pupils and staff will surely remember for years to come.
