Model United Nations Conference

Students enjoyed attending a MUN conference at Wycombe Abbey School.

We had the privilege of taking 19 dedicated and enthusiastic Sixth Form students to Wycombe Abbey School's Model United Nations Conference, where they joined over 250 students from across the country. Representing Barbados, Somalia, Malaysia, Norway, Sweden, the UAE and Zimbabwe, our delegates spent two intensive days debating some of the most pressing issues facing our world today: the weaponisation of humanitarian aid, preventing the militarisation of outer space, digital freedom and online privacy, the ethics of atomic testing, foreign political interference via technology and media, and the ongoing Haiti crisis.

We were once again honoured to be invited to sit on the prestigious Model Arctic Council, where our delegates successfully contributed to passing the 'Wycombe Declaration' on invasive species in the Arctic. Congratulations to all who participated, with special recognition going to one particular student who received the Outstanding Delegate Prize.

Our students were impressive throughout, demonstrating exceptional diplomacy, critical thinking, and public speaking skills. Well done to everyone involved!
