Head of College Reads to Reception
Reception pupils were treated to a special visitor, The Head of College, Mr Mott, who joined them for an enchanting storytime session.
With excitement in the air, the children gathered eagerly as Mr Mott read 'A Dinosaur Lives in Our Shed' by the author Kaye Umansky and illustrator Pippa Curnick.
The delightful tale sparked imaginations and laughter, as the young listeners were transported into a world where dinosaurs might just be hiding in the most unexpected places. After the reading, the pupils shared their favourite parts of the story and even discussed what they would do if a dinosaur moved into their own shed.
This visit was a wonderful opportunity for the pupils to connect with the Head in a fun and engaging way, reinforcing the importance of reading for pleasure and storytelling in early education.
Mr Mott also revealed to Reception that he has set himself a challenge for the year: to read 52 books, one each week, and once a month, the book will be in Spanish. He joked that 'A Dinosaur Lives in Our Shed' might just count towards his total.
