Donhead Prep School wins Brilliant Award 2025 for Tech Excellence
Donhead has been named the winner of the Brilliant Award 2025 for Tech Excellence, recognising its commitment to a PedTech approach that builds creative, confident, and ethical thinkers who apply technology purposefully, preparing them for lifelong success. The award was presented during the Brilliant Festival, at the Exhibition Centre Liverpool where the success of the school was recognised by leaders and innovators in education.
At Donhead, technology is woven through a research-informed curriculum. Pupils engage in AI, coding, and physical computing projects linking to real-world issues like environmental data collection with BBC Micro:bit and creative AI projects with Cambridge University. Partnerships with female-led tech organisations such as UN Women UK, TechSheCan and CirKits, and global initiatives foster inclusion, creativity, and lifelong digital fluency. Technology integration at Donhead has transformed learning, developing confident, creative, and socially responsible digital citizens.
Judges of the Tech Excellent award commented: The school demonstrates exceptional whole schoolintegration of technology embedding digital practice across teaching, learning and leadership, in asustainable and impactful way with emphasises on expelling gender stereotypes and empoweringpeople to become confident, creative and socially responsible digital citizens.
