Donhead Prep School celebrates outstanding results in Bebras Challenge
Donhead is thrilled to announce that students have achieved outstanding success in this year’s Bebras Challenge, an international competition introducing computational thinking to students aged 6 to 19.
Organised in the UK by the Raspberry Pi Foundation in partnership with the University of Oxford, the Bebras Challenge encourages students to solve interactive, logic-based tasks that develop problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
Our students performed exceptionally well, significantly surpassing regional and national averages across all year groups.
In Years 2 and 3, 9 pupils achieved in the top 10% of entries in the UK with two pupils achieving full marks.
In Years 4 and 5, 18 pupils achieved in the top 10% of entries in the UK.
In Year 6 we had 13 pupils (28% of the year group) who achieved in the top 10% of entries in the UK and have qualified for the Oxford Computing Challenge.
Donhead is celebrating this fantastic achievement which reflects our pupils' strength in computational thinking across the school.
