Academic potential and welfare needs will always be taken into account, but in general, pupils will be expected to have a non verbal and verbal reasoning score of 130+.

BN6 Awards are available for pupils looking at 11+ entry. These may be awarded to pupils who attend state schools in the BN6 postcode area (same postcode as the College), and offer fully funded places, including uniform, transport and educational trips, to the end of sixth form. Sussex Sixth Form Awards are available for pupils looking to join at 16+ who attend state schools in Sussex.

All applications are considered on an individual basis but generally families' household incomes needs to be under £90,000 per year to be eligible for a bursary award.
